Benefits of bubbly……for beauty

Before you throw away the champagne from new year’s eve, here are some skincare treatments you can do yourself at home!

First lets get down to the facts, champagne contains reservatrol, a powerful antioxidant that provides anti-aging benefits.  Champagne can be used as a toner for those with combination or oily skin. The polyphenols found in champagne reduce inflammation and rednesses, while tartaric acid acts as an exfoliator.  Like wine, champagne is loaded with antioxidants due to the grape seed extract which has vitamin c and vitamin e.

Here are a few ideas you can do with your bubbly:

Champagne Detox Mask

1/2 cup champagne

1/2 cup of oatmeal (steel one is best)

2 tablespoons of plain yogurt (i only use non-dairy like almond or coconut )

Mix the oatmeal and yogurt. Pour the champagne into the mix, blending well. Add more oatmeal if the consistency seems watery or more champagne if it is too thick.

Apply all over cleansed skin, don’t forget your neck and decollete.

Rinse with warm water after 20 minutes.

Apply daily addiction, hydra overdose or goddess remedy.

How About a Bubbly Soak?

1 cup champagne

1/2 cup of Epsom salt

Just pour into a bath tub while the hot water is running.

Soak for 20 minutes.

The polyphenols from champagne will reduce redness, carbon dioxide will tighten your skin.  The epsom salt is relieving sore muscles and remineralizing you. Your skin will feel amazing!

Champagne Quick Fix

1/2 cup champagne

1/2 cup of any powdered clay (you can find in health food store)

Mix together to make a paste and apply all over cleansed skin.

Rinse off with warm water after 10 minutes.

You can also mix more and do as a body mask, leave on for 10 to 20 minutes.

You will benefit from the purification of the clay plus the antioxidants from the champagne….very stimulating and exfoliating without scrubbing!

A great  way to infuse a new start to a brand new year!

Wishing you all a very happy new year filled with magical moments and all your intentions coming true!

With much love, gratitude, and light…….
